What if there was no steroid era? There wouldn't be any 1998 HR chase with McGwire and Sosa. There wouldn't be Bonds' 73 HR in 2001. Griffey would be the king of this generation. His 56 HR in 1998 might be the only "clean" 50+ HR total since George Foster in 1977. |

on pace for 40 hr's this year & still no love for him?why?just because he has had some injuries people treat him worse than giambi, who is an admitted cheater!i didn't know steroids are looked upon as being better then getting injured. |

lot of ifs in this game. if it weren't for ww2 and korea, ted williams probably would have put up numbers that griffey or bonds wouldn't be able to match. few actual greats, many "if...." greats. |

Sorry p11srad but you've obviously never watched him play before. He never 'bulked' up like Sosa and Bonds. He is just pure talent and if it wasn't for his injuries there would be no argument that he is one of the greatest to ever play the game. |

Sorry carddan but you must be the one on drugs. Griffey has never been a mammoth (like sosa when he was juiced), Griffey's always had a sweet swing and was never on roids. Anyone giving this card a thumbs down is an idiot. |
