One home run from 600. Should get it this week in Phili.
timbase

needs only 7 HR this year to reach 600
biggeorge
2-14-2008
Love to see 35 homers this year. Looking better in light of the steroid scandal.
timbase
1-20-2008
What if there was no steroid era? There wouldn't be any 1998 HR chase with McGwire and
Sosa. There wouldn't be Bonds' 73 HR in 2001. Griffey would be the king of this
generation. His 56 HR in 1998 might be the only "clean" 50+ HR total since George Foster
in 1977.

Could possibly hit number 600 this season that would be great! :>

Imagine, we would be talking about him breaking Aaron's Hr record if not for the
injuries. Truly one of a kind player! What a classic swing!

550 reasons to buy this card
timbase
6-28-2006
Passes Mantle in Home Runs 537 and DiMaggio in RBI's 1538 Now 12th and 31st all time.
Card should move up as he moves up the record book lists. He just has to stay healthy.

timbase
4-6-2006
Right on. Funny, I clicked this in my portfolio to put a sell price, and got all warm
and fuzzy after seeing the pic--brings back those memories of the pre-juice (not him)
nineties. Now I wanna take it in-hand.

vealmarsala
2-9-2006
on pace for 40 hr's this year & still no love for him?why?just because he has had some
injuries people treat him worse than giambi, who is an admitted cheater!i didn't know
steroids are looked upon as being better then getting injured.

steelers86
9-27-2005
Yes he has been having a great year. Only one minor injury all year. Great stats and
hitting for power. Keeps moving up in the record books. And not on roids. It's been all
Jr.

timbase
9-7-2005
Having quite a good year for a has been.

8-22-2005
24 HR's 75 RBI's not bad so far. But not sure what he needs to do to win back the fans.
Griffey is on the move up the record book lists....

timbase
8-9-2005
I would love to have this one autographed!
lenpigg
7-22-2005
Looks pretty good over the past month and a half. Not his old self but coming into his
form. Watch for him to continue to improve.

timbase
6-11-2005
Started in huge slump but lately seems to have found his swing. Will continue to be in
the news as he passes guys on the HR list. No investigations, no steriods = GOOD BUY

phlippitygibbit
5-14-2005
Not so fast. May be on the road to recovery. Keep in mind he has not really played since
last July.

2-27-2005
bhubbard has it right on. PURE TALENT. Still has an outside shot at 600 HR's. Don't count
him out.

stormriderfh
2-17-2005
lot of ifs in this game. if it weren't for ww2 and korea, ted williams probably would
have put up numbers that griffey or bonds wouldn't be able to match. few actual greats,
many "if...." greats.

phosgene
2-16-2005
Sorry p11srad but you've obviously never watched him play before. He never 'bulked' up
like Sosa and Bonds. He is just pure talent and if it wasn't for his injuries there
would be no argument that he is one of the greatest to ever play the game.

bhubbard
2-16-2005
too may injuries and drug user as well--just like bonds!!! did you see him bulk up the
same time period bonds, mcgwire and sosa did? 'roid alert!!!!!

p11srad
2-14-2005
What could have been? This guy had all the potential to be the greatest player in
history. Too many injuries or he would have been past Bonds when it was all over.

taknstok
2-13-2005
bat speed and fast hands made Griffey what he was, not roids. Same with A-Rod. These
guys were #1 picks young!

jps715
2-12-2005
Sorry carddan but you must be the one on drugs. Griffey has never been a mammoth (like
sosa when he was juiced), Griffey's always had a sweet swing and was never on roids.
Anyone giving this card a thumbs down is an idiot.

danflavin
3-31-2004
Yeah I thought about that after I pressed enter. Not everyone knows about the CTM.
Now....if Griffey had less negative publicity surrounding him these days I would give
this a thumbs up. But he's having a terrible spring and optimistic I am no longer.

shoestringglory
3-30-2004
Believe it or not, somepeople do not know CT exists - that is why it might go for more on
