If Jeter win MVP then you know for sure the award is not about the numbers but rather a
popularity contest nothing being taken away from Jeter by being the alltime hitting
leaders for the World Class Yankees but Mauer has the numbers to win this thing |

I read he's having a great defensive season this year, but over the past 5 years, he's
the 31st or so rated defensive shortstop in baseball. I always said he was overrated!
He's 12th rated this year defensively. |

Thank God they made this card! It's been too long since the last etopps Jeter card (what,
4 months or so?). Why don't they just cut to the chase and make a set for him similar to
the Mantle. Someone in Topps obviously has some wood for this guy. |
